GIVING BACK.
East Coast Music Tour in Support of the Canadian Women’s Foundation.
David Porteous volunteered his time to organize a 10-concert east coast of Canada music tour to raise money and awareness for the Canadian Women’s Foundation.

IN MEMORY OF SCOTT JOHNSON CONCERTS AND DRUM KIT DONATION
As a longtime fan of Radiohead, Porteous felt compelled to do something positive after hearing their drum tech, Scott Johnson, was killed during a stage collapse just hours before the concert I was going to attend.
Porteous hosted a series of concerts and raised money to buy an electronic drum kit which was donated to Fort York Library in Memory of Scott.
Philip Selway of Radiohead got wind of Porteous’ efforts and met with him in Toronto to announce Selway was doing the same for the Manchester Library alongside Guy Garvey of Elbow and Stephen Morris of New Order/Joy Division.
A DOLLAR A LAP TO STOP THE GAP
David Porteous volunteered his time to organize multiple fundraisers at the Honda Indy IndyCar race in Toronto and at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course in Ohio.
With the support of SURGERE, IndyCar’s series the Road to Indy and FATBOY RACING, over $10 000 was raised for the StopGap Foundation, an accessibility-focused charity based in Toronto, Canada.
The funds raised equates to the building of 40 single step wheelchair ramps!
